Enjoying 50 years of full time music ministry, this group continues to create popular sounds with strong biblical lyrics & quality Southern Gospel Music. Originally known as The Sego Brothers & Naomi, this group began gaining exposure in the late 1950's. James Sego, along with his wife Naomi and brothers W.R. and Lamar hosted a popular television program on WMAZ- TV in Macon, GA. It was during this time they traveled to Nashville, TN and recorded their first hit that would gain them national recognition, "Is My Lord Satisfied With Me". However, superstardom came in 1962 when The Sego Brothers & Naomi became the first group in history to record and sell 1 million records with the song "Sorry, I Never Knew You". The rest of the 1960's saw them touring the globe with many other hit songs. During the 1970's their popularity increased with performances on the popular TV show "The Gospel Singing Jubilee". Perhaps one of their biggest songs came along during that time as they enjoyed the success of the chart topper "Hallelujah Square". The late 1970's saw tragedy as well as success. In 1979 James Sego, Naomi's husband passed away. During the 1980's Naomi continued to travel and record. She remarried to a Texas evangelist named Vernon Reader, and the group underwent a name change to Naomi & The Segos. Vernon passed away in October of 1998. Now, in their 5th decade of gospel music ministry this group continues to press forward for the cause of Christ. Traveling some 200 dates a year all over the United States and Canada, the message of this group remains strong and powerful. Perhaps it is each group members own personal experience with God that continues to drive their excellence in performance and ministry. Naomi & The Segos is a legendary name in gospel music. With their traditional sounds, musical excellence, and sincerity, they produce a message that will lead people to Christ. NAOMI SEGO Naomi is one of the first 5 ladies of Gospel Music. She is a member of the SGMA Hall of Fame, and featured on the award winning Gaither Homecoming Series. Naomi is celebrating 50 years full-time ministry this year. KASEY KEMP Originally from Marion, IL, Kasey is the group’s Tenor vocalist and Emcee. Kasey is an ordained minister and an accomplished trumpeter. He celebrates 5 years as a member of Naomi and the Segos. JUDSON HORNER Judson holds the Baritone position and is the group’s newest member. He is from Charlotte, NC and possesses one of the smoothest baritone voices in Gospel Music. Judson is quickly making friends all over the country and is a great asset to Naomi and the Segos.
